Pregabalin comes in capsules, extended-release (long-acting) tablets and oral solution (liquid) are prescribed to reduce neuropathic pain (discomfort from destroyed nerves) that can arise in your arms, fingers, hands, legs, feet, or toes if you have diabetes and postherpetic neuralgia (PHN; the burning, stabbing discomfort or pains that may stay for months or years after an attack of shingles). Pregabalin capsules and oral solution are even prescribed to reduce neuropathic pain that can arise after spinal cord injury and to treat fibromyalgia (a long-term condition that may trigger pain, muscle immobility and tenderness, fatigue, and problem falling asleep or remaining asleep).
