After a long time research in studying the effect on bonding and heavy losses of steel due to corrosion per annum we started our work particularly on increasing bonding of steel with concrete. Our main focus was on following point that “Any RCC construction with steel in it requires bonding of steel with concrete and not any coating on the surface like epoxy / polymer”.
After continues research and trials we got our first break through when in pull out test we found Steel Guard Nano Coat coated rebar gave more than 200% higher bonding that uncoated steel with coating thickness of 3-4 micron on the surface so there was no visible change in diameter of rebar and certain corrosion resistance was also noted.
